A two-part scan of one Amazon UK niche. First, every search term ranked by how much it's actually searched — with the three ASINs winning the clicks on each one. Then the products quietly earning real revenue on under 500 reviews — the beatable openings. The demand half is built entirely from Amazon's own Brand Analytics: no Helium10, no Jungle Scout, no monthly subscription touches it. This is a worked example on public data — your own version runs on your account.
The number to read is the demand score (100,000 − search-frequency rank — bigger = more searched) alongside how open the term is. High score + a low top click-share = a real opening.
Amazon publishes a marketplace-wide Top Search Terms report to every Brand-Registered seller: every term, its search-frequency rank, and the three ASINs taking the most clicks. We turn the rank into a human score and read it next to click concentration. "foil trays" and "cake tin" are searched heavily yet no product holds even 11% of the clicks — fragmented, and beatable. "loaf tin" is the opposite: one product owns 35% of it.

Demand score = 100,000 − search-frequency rank, 6-week best. "Open?" is the top product's share of clicks: open (<12%) = fragmented and beatable; mid = contested; owned (>25%) = one product holds it. Source: your Amazon Brand Analytics Top Search Terms — nothing rented.
Filter the whole niche to £10–30, fewer than 500 reviews, rank by estimated monthly revenue. 149 products scanned → 18 genuinely under 500 reviews → the top ten below.
These are the openings: products with little review armour still pulling real volume. The top one — a 128-review foil-tray pack — is also the click-winner for "foil trays with lids" above, a low-review product converting genuine search demand. That is exactly the signal worth acting on.

Price, review count and rating are live catalogue reads. "Units/mo" is Amazon's own published "bought in the past month" figure (a floor), and revenue = units × price — so these are conservative estimates for ranking, not exact sales. The review filter is applied on the true per-ASIN count: naïve tool filters leak variation-family review totals (we caught five ~25,000-review products masquerading as "under 500").
Everything on this page is your own Amazon data. The research tools scrape the same reports and rent them back to you — £200–400 every month, forever.
The demand ranking, the scores, the three ASINs winning each term — none of it touched a third-party subscription. It's the Top Search Terms report Amazon already gives your Brand Registry, stood up inside a warehouse you own, with the tools to read it. And not just to read — S9 also hands you a guarded set of tools that write straight back to Amazon: change a price, build a variation family, swap listing images — each one preview-first and human-confirmed.
